Community
Since 1994, the Community Alliance of Resources for Everyone - CARE (C.A.R.E.) Coalition has been at the forefront of transforming community collective efforts in McClain County. Originally rooted in the vision of providing services, safety information, and books to underprivileged families, C.A.R.E. has evolved into a dynamic force driving positive change. Today, with local, state, and federal support, the coalition’s fundamental mission persists – making resources more accessible, now fortified by preventive and environmental strategies. Currently boasting around 40 members from 20 different organizations, C.A.R.E. is a collective force working tirelessly to empower and enhance the quality of life within our communities. The active involvement of each individual is crucial to our mission – echoing the saying, “It takes a village to raise a child.” Join in on the collaboration efforts at monthly meetings held on the third Tuesday of the month from 8:30-10am at the McClain County OSU Extension Office.
